Three more losses and this Pitt team will have the dubious distinction of owning the longest losing streak in school history.

The Panthers have lost eight consecutive games heading into tomorrow night's game against Providence. The Panthers might want to win that one because the next two are against No. 9 Georgetown and at West Virginia.

Pitt has lost 10 in a row twice in school history. The Panthers lost 10 straight in 1968-69. That team finished with a 4-20 record. They also lost 10 straight over two seasons from 1993-95. They lost nine in a row in the final season under Paul Evans and the first game under new coach Ralph Willard in 1994-95.
